With the summer months fast creeping up, many landlords are turning their attention to the landscaping they need to do on their properties to keep them looking their best.

There is no better time than summer for the renters to get outside and enjoy the sun and warm climate!

Rental property appeal, whether you are renting to families or singles, you want to create an attractive property that will attract potential renters as well as help keep your current renters comfortable and happy in their properties.

DO YOU NEED TIPS?

1. Water your grass in the morning

It is important to know how much water your grass is needing. During the hottest time of the day, the water in the soil will evaporate so it is waste of time to water them although you might be tempted. Giving the necessary water in the morning will help the root to grow as well.

2. Who is responsible of the mowing?

Keep in mind what you have agreed on in the agreement. If it is the renter’s responsibility, stick to the regular mowing schedule.

If it is the landlords to take care of the mowing, do let the renters know in advance and make sure you are not violation their privacy.

As you may be tempted to cut the grass near to the soil, it is recommended to leave certain length to the grass to maintain their healthy greener look.

3. Trim Back Hedges and Shrubs at the Beginning of the Season

If you didn’t take care of basic property maintenance during the winter months, you may want to go ahead and take care of them as early in the summer as possible. Having a nice curve look certainly appeals to the prospective tenants.
